My name is Gary Daniel Macias, founder of GO GDM Life Coaching. As a life coach for those wanting to thrive in their 30s, I've spent the last decade in health, fitness, and wellness coaching. Now, I'm dedicated to guiding people through this transformative decade.
I strive for a balanced life by prioritizing stability, growth, and meaningful relationships. I value my health and work-life balance, while also seeking purpose and security. Independence and integrity guide my choices, and I enjoy exploring new adventures and hobbies. But to be a bit vulnerable with you , it wasn’t always like that.
“In 2015, I started a boot camp-style gym, running it alone as a single father. Despite my efforts, I fell into debt, had my car repossessed, and turned to unhealthy coping mechanisms like daily drinking and smoking. By 2018, I was burned out, sick, and had to close my gym and declare bankruptcy.
For the next two years, I battled deep depression, living in a small room at my aunt’s house, drinking daily, and gaining 50 pounds. I took a low-paying job I disliked just to get by. Realizing I needed change, I stopped drinking and started running, began therapy, and focused on my mental health.
With a better job and a commitment to improving my career, I eventually hired a life coach who helped me gain clarity and hope for the future. This support marked a turning point, and I’ve been moving forward ever since.
